Hi I’m so sorry to hijack this thread. but I’m new here and can’t figure out how to start a new thread so any help would be much appreciated.
My partner seeked asylum in 2016 but was refused and instead granted discretionary leave for 30months. In 2019 we applied for further leave and he was granted a further 30months based on family life. Both our son and myself are British nationals. He is now due a renewal but his paperwork is unclear about whether he is on 5year route or 10 year route. My question is, is he able to now apply for ILR or do we have to renew again another 30months. Any help would be welcome. Thank you in advance :)

Also is there anyway which we can find out which route he is on if it is not stated in his paper work? And to clarify, with the discretionary leave of 2.5yrs & family life leave of 2.5yrs, it totals 5 years altogether. Does this qualify him for ILR?
