Guidance on Travelling while on Student visa

Post by raj_m » Tue Feb 15, 2022 11:32 am

Hi

Can anyone guide here please..
A student enrolled in Masters program in Jan 2021 and now in Feb 2022 the person has completed all terms and passed. Course end date (as per CAS) is May 2022 and then there are another 4 months added..so the Student visa is Till Sept 2022.

Can the person travel outside UK in Mar 2022 for 1 month and come back by Apr 2022? is there going to be any questions asked(or any problems or refuse entry) when returning back to UK since the visa is till sept 2022?
Does a student need any letter from Uni. to show at uk immigration while coming back ?

Student can always say , I am back for graduation ceremony and then apply for PSW..

Please suggest

Yes. See Student route caseworker guidance, page 90:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... dent-route

Separately, if a student completes their course 3 months early, the sponsor will normally need to notify the Home Office of this, and their visa end date will be adjusted accordingly. This may mean your visa now ends in June, not September. I advise checking this with the sponsor.
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.
