Help, forgot to register with the police

I forgot to register with the police and I feel so so bad. I tried contacting them yesterday but apparently I can only contact them on Monday-Wednesday. I entered UK at the end of September (30th 2021) but I had to isolate. My brp card took ages to come (at the end of November) and then I got sick with Covid. I am registered in another city tho. I don’t know what to do but wait for them to message me. Am I in trouble?

Hello, I’m a 18 year old student. Started my first year of university and I forgot to register with the police.. I came to UK on the 30th of September, I had to isolate due to coming from another country and waiting for my BRP took ages. It came at the end of November. I’ve been sick with Covid last month and the police websites said not to come. I am registered in another city, and I thought that because of that I wouldn’t need to register. It’s a dumb situation and I don’t know what to do with myself. I’ve contacted the police last night, but the operator told me that I will only able to talk to the officers on Monday-Wednesday. So i left a voice message and currently waiting for them to call me or reply to my email.
Am I in trouble?

Contact the international student adviser at your university. They are the experts on all things Student visa, including the visa conditions about registering with the police. Many universities have arrangements to make things easier for their students to register.

While you have breached your visa conditions by not registering or making an appointment to register, it is not the sort of breach that in itself will cause you any major problems. But you do need to put it right.

UPDATE: they didnt even care. the lady that was registering me was very nice. Didn't have to pay the 30 quid fee again ^^

Wantwd fo post a question here to continure the topic of police registration form.

In March 2020 ive chhnage a visa (became dependent partner). I knew thatbi havebto report to OvRO about changea in Visa details, however, covid situation started and OVRo was closes. I also checked in Augist 2020, still Ovro closed. And then i forgot about that I have to report to police. I habe the form with old details but firgot to report 1) chnage in my visa 2) address change.

Now in 2022 March i am applyong to extend my visa and have to submit the copy of police form.

I have following Qs:
1)Will it have a negative impact on my visa extension application? And How serious it is?

2) what can i do to mitigate? Should i probide any explanation letter etc?

Book an appointment with OVRO now.
Attach the appointment letter and a covering letter explaining the situation in your visa application.
It should be fine.
