Help/advice needed for UK visiting visa

Hi everyone

I am really hoping someone is going to be able to help me with my problem!

I am a uk citizen currently living in Mexico, i have taken a year off work as a police officer to be with my boyfriend of 4 years, who is a Mexican citizen.

Now we have decided it is time for my boyfriend to visit England for a 6 month period to see what it is like, as he has never been out of Mexico before,

Following this 6 months we have big decisions to make on where we live.

Anyway i need to know what documents we both have to have for him to visit England at Christmas without ANY problems. So far we have a letter from his empoyer here granting him 6 months off work, he owns a house here, which he has all the documentation for. He has a littel money saved but he is mostly going to be finacially suppported by myself and my family. We will be living with my parents.

Could anyone advice me of anything else that will be useful for us both.

My worst fear is him being refused entry and i have read some horror stories.

I thought Mexicans where non-visa nationals, ie no formal visa needed for a six month visit....

Yes that is true that they do not need a visa, however from what i have read they need to prove that they are only there for a visit and prove that they can live without working etc.

I am hoping i am worrying over nothing and it is as easy as it was for me to come and live in Mexico!

Since posting my question on here i have seen a couple of websites that i had not seen before regarding sponsoring a visitor.

Now as stated in my previuos post i am currently living in Mexico but i am still employed back on the uk. I will be travelling to the uk with my boyfriend, now can i sponsor him???

I have savings of 2000 pounds in my account and will be returning back to work in January and therefore i cannot provide any wage slips. However i will be supporting him along with my father, now is it possible for both myself and my father to sponsor him? We will be living in my parents house.

I have also seen the link about the visa that is refused and that leads to a second probelm for me that the bank statements have to be originals, therefore my internet banking print off wont suffice!!!!!

Similar to visitors going to the USA, include evidence of strong ties to home country.
