Skilled Worker visa (Tier 2) - Redundancy

Post by KVangaru » Fri Mar 11, 2022 11:35 am

Hi Team,

May be this question has already been asked but want to check if there's any change in rules with curtailment:

I have been made redundant on 1st March 2022 (last day) and my visa expiry date is March 2026.
I have not received my curtailment letter yet but I'm worried if I have to find a new job including getting the sponsorship and joining the new company within 60 days (i.e. by 1st May 2022)? Will the 60 days count from the last day of my employement or from the date given in the letter and what if I have not received the letter and the date given on the letter is 1st May though my address details are with Homeoffice.

I'm currently looking for jobs and it might take more than 60 days to get the jobs/sponsorship so not sure what options I have before we decide to move back with family.

Thanks for all your guidance,

60 days from date on letter. There may be delay in issuing the letter, but find a job asap.
