Returning to Ireland, work permit again?

Post by notirishyet » Mon Mar 21, 2022 9:42 am

Hi,

I lived in Ireland 5 years (started on Critical Skills WP and then changed it ot Stamp 4), but moved to my country of origin in Jan 2021. My IRL then expired in May 2021.
Now the situation changed and I want to return to Ireland.
Can anyone give an advice on if there is an easier route for me or do I have to obtain WP again?

I also got married and and I want to move together with my wife.
If I get Critical Skill WP again, we can then get visas and enter the state together, is that correct?

You'd have to obtain employment permit again initially and yes, both of you can enter Ireland on CSEP together.
You might be eligible for Long Term Residency (https://www.irishimmigration.ie/my-situ ... residency/) when you arrive, but not sure what your spouse's status will be in that case (as I assume she wasn't with you before) and if it's even viable.
Not a qualified immigration adviser. Use links and references given to gain confirmation and/or extra information.
