ILR SET(M) - questions on appointments

Post by kenzahh » Sun Mar 20, 2022 6:00 pm

Hi everyone,

Really scratching my head recently and not sure what to do.
Context: I can apply for ILR starting now. I can't find the super priority option, which I was really counting on.
I am due to go away for a week in April.

I have the below questions:

1- had anyone had any luck finding the super priority service? I read some people have been trying at 1 am so might do that.
2- My understanding is that I can't travel once I have submitted my application even if my appointment hasn't happened yet. If this is the case I am considering waiting until I am back from my trip in April so I can apply and hope there is a super priority service then.
3- If I do find a super priority option now randomly, is it worth risking applying and hoping I find an appointment before my trip is due? or is it too tight? What is the usual timeframe between application and appointment at the moment?

Many thanks - I know some of the questions are so specific so just hoping for some guidance from someone who has been through it recently and has an indication of timelines etc.

Thank you

If your current visa still has some validity, i would recommend apply for ILR once you are back. Super priority is not guaranteed. The Ukrainian thing really slows everything down. Besides, appointment availability and BRP delivery can also lead to delay.
DISCLAIMER: Advice given is based on my past experience and/or my interpretation of Immigration Rules and UKVI documents.

Hi there, extremely sorry for the delay in getting back to you as I haven't checked the forum since then.
Hope you had some luck? I ended up staying up until 1 am to find slots.

good luck
