Application Withdrawal

Post by spouse2020 » Fri Mar 04, 2022 11:20 am

Hi,

I requested to withdraw a SETM application however after 4 weeks nothing happened and I have not received any email confirming the withdrawal.

I also sent an email to UKVISETM email with no success, Also filled a follow up ROD form.

Any similar experience? Is it usual for a withdrawal to take this long?

Often there is no email confirmation sent and you get no notifications. You may get a refund that proves your application has been withdrawn

Since it looks like you have seen this before, can you point to an example of someone having successfully received their fees back, and/or the most effective way to inquire about this? I have used their progress inquiry from, again with no acknowledgement. Would this be a matter for escalation to one's MP?

I ask because I don't understand how there is absolutely no acknowledgement or indication of timeframe for something as hefty as some application fees. Frankly appaling!

There have been several cases if I remember correctly but finding them in the big pile of the posts here is a different issue
