Hi, can I ask if it's straightforward for a Columbian passport holder (adult, single) residing in Venezuela and unemployed to visit the UK from Columbia on a UK 6 month visitor visa please? We are hearing that the unemployment might be an issue. Are there any other issues? Is Venezuela a better option to try to enter the UK this way? THANK YOU.

You have heard correctly. There is a need to show ties to home country I.e. to reassure CW that applicant will return to.home country after the visit. Obviously being unemployed creates a big doubt.
