SEISS and Minimum Income Requirement (Spouse Visa)

Post by GraciasInAdvance » Tue Apr 05, 2022 12:56 pm

Hi there,

Today is the last day of the tax year, and I'll need to use this period's tax return as the basis for a visa renewal (2.5 years stage).

I understand that my SEISS income can be used as part of the minimum income requirement. I'm just... double checking this is all correct.

I am paid mostly in dividends, but also some income is directly paid to me, including SEISS.

However, if I remove the two SEISS payments from 2021/22, my income drops marginally below £18,600. I can make a dividend payment to bring this over the line, but I would rather not.

I am basically just double checking that having this under £18,600 when excluding the SEISS payments isn't going to cause a problem?

Many thanks in advance. Just a bit anxious!

Best regards
