Employment advice please

Post by Taralouise16 » Fri Apr 08, 2022 2:20 pm

Hi, wondering if anyone could help or offer advice.

I have applied for Spouse visa (partner currently in DR) Regarding employment, my employer refused to give an employment letter without a direct request from the Home Office. I have worked for a very well known financial institution for 16 years.
I have provided payslips, bank statements and P60 to show the last years income.
I was successful in an internal job move in August 2021 and included the change in employment letter which confirmed my salary, my original start date (2005) and new role duties.
Will this be acceptable? Will they contact my employer to confirm or will I just get refused because I don’t have confirmation I am a current employee.
Has anyone else has a problem from their employer?

We applied for tourist visas in 2019 which also shows I was working for this company.
Thanks so much! Would appreciate any advice
Tara :)

Showing the section stating its required to the HR or dept to issue the letter could have helped as HO will not be writing to employers to ask directly for such when the process states it. Imagine the delays experiencing already.
A clear requirement is the letter from employer.

Thanks so much for replying. I did send a screenshot of the visa requirements to HR however they stated they only respond to direct requests for visas mortgages etc and just directed me to the HR online portal. Seems like they don’t like to do much in person anymore. I guess I will just keep waiting with my fingers crossed they accept what I have submitted. Though looking doubtful now.
Again thanks for taking time to reply
