Tier 1 Entrepreneur extension visa- 2 employee documents

Hi, Just a question, regarding the 2 employees that we need to hire for Tier 1 Entrepreneur extension visa:
One UK national employee has a British passport but it is 'expired', will that work? She has a valid driver's licence though! I appreciate your response!

An expired British passport should be ok
