Spouse visa extention Please help!

Hope you are all doing well.

I am having big fear of late application for visa extension.

I have been preparing my application for the extension of spouse visa.
But with my short sightedness with unexpected family emergency I had to delay the English test and now I will only be able to receive the result 1 month before my current Residence Permit expires.
I have been filling the online application and preparing required documents but it looks like I can only complete the online application when I can fill the English requirement part.

I have read about appointment booking and it says I may only be able to book 28 days in advance depending on how busy they are.

Now I fear my current visa will expire before the day I of appointment I can book.
Could anyone tell me if this will be regarded as expired visa and I will be in big trouble or if it will be okay as long a online application is completed before visa expiration date?

I believe you should be okay if you submit and pay for the valid online application prior to expiry of leave. Provided you eventually successfully attend your biometrics appointment, your in-time application remains valid.
