Immigration details issue

Hi guys,

I have been in the UK for last 17 years. Came in the UK as a student. Was on student Visa until 2010 and then got 2 years PSW workpermit. After that switched to student and then got my ILR in 2015.

I know immigration details for the last 12 years but do not remember from 2005 till 2010. I remember visa's year from 2005 to 2010 but do not remember month or exact date.

Will it be any issue?

Best call is to always provide all information you can, to the best of your abilities. Exact dates are not that important, as long as a clear picture of your immigration history is provided. The last 12 years should be strong background, but you can always provide an explanation of your further years, and how you cannot provide more details and that you have done your best effort, in your cover letter.

Best call is to always provide all information you can, to the best of your abilities. Exact dates are not that important, as long as a clear picture of your immigration history is provided. The last 12 years should be strong background, but you can always provide an explanation of your further years, and how you cannot provide more details and that you have done your best effort, in your cover letter.

I will explain it in cover letter as you suggested even though visa's were on the passport so they will able to see it. Thank you for your help.

Another question is for the references. I have one reference from my family friend, he is not accountant but doing job as a Account manager. Second reference is from my job. He is IT manager. Will they both be fine? for my job, I mentioned I know him as he is my manager. For the first reference, I mentioned him as a family friend.
