Contracting on skilled worker visa

Hi All,

I got a company in UK who is willing to sponsor on skilled worker visa. I will be a permanent employee with the company, its a IT services firm. The company employees work as contractors with end clients on IT projects. The company doesn't have upfront projects, I have to search for contract jobs myself. When I get the contract, the contract work monitoring, taxation, salary etc. will be handled by the sponsoring company.
Is it a legal way to get contract jobs in UK ?
