She's 62? You mean she is 26?? Were there any reasons for refusal, or was it just one point?

He has not got the ages wrong! There are a good few of these cases in court in an average month. To be fair, if they have been together for 3 years as he states he should not have been refused. I think there is something else the ECO has in the way of information or we are not getting the whole story.

Wanderer there is a marked influx of Russian brides in the past three / four months, is there some kind of season for bringing brides over or something?

To be honest I'd expect it to be less, Russia is not a shithole any more and quite a nice place to live - I love it there!

People are better off too. Mind u the credit crunch has bit hard there, hardly affected me yet!

The socially-challenged trophy-wife seekers have abandoned the Former SU and gone to where they can use the only advantage they have, their economic one. South America, Philippines, Bolton.....

Yeah I shouldn't mock, I'm 20 years older than mine, but then again I am extremely attractive, look half my age, work out seven times a week, drive an Aston, and I'm hung like a donkey.

I assume what Mohammed means when he writes that they don't believe he will stay every with her....he means that they think he is only got married to her to get a visa to the UK and that it is a marriage of convience...Obvious the fact that they have been married three years should prove that this is not the case......unless the Embassy have something else on the OP?????

Mohammed are you sure that is all they refused you on? If so you have to keep trying and be patient and prove to them that this is not the case?

Funnily enough again I can't mock - I met mine on the internet, mind u to be fair it was on a language forum, I was brushing up my Russian (learnt schoolboy Russian at uni) for a trip, diverted trip to meet her and bob's yer uncle.

We certainly didn't expect anything till we'd had enough face time to get sick of each other....

Now, five (wow! five!) years later we've lived with each other for nearly four out of those five with no marriage in sight and no threat (yet) of one hanging over us. Still got visa issues tho!

This is top quality thread hijacking, sorry....

Sorry is definitley thread jacking...but your right I have many friends who met and fell in love the same way...some haven't worked out...and some have....but that also is the same if you meet someone in a pub....it could turn into the biggest mistake of your life or you may have met the love of your life!

I met my husband on the internet, too. Two months after we met online he visited me and spend 2 weeks with me. Then I applied for visit visa to UK three weeks he had left, and a month later i returned to my country and applied for fiancee visa, and now we have been married for two years. From my own experience, I think all you need to prove is that you two are really in love and intend to live together forever. We proved all the emails we have written and all the chat details on Yahoo. Well, which I don't think we should show them because they are private. Anyway, it did help.
