Drink driving and skilled worker visa extension

Post by gasu » Thu May 05, 2022 8:32 am

Dear all
I am due to renew my skilled worker visa in next couple of months as I am going to complete three years in the UK. My concern is that I have been convicted of drink driving in January 2021 and my licence has been suspended, do you guys think that it may affect my chances of getting an extension, please advice as I am very much anxious and not able to sleep at night because of this only. Your quick feedback would be highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

The easiest way to get into trouble in this country is by driving. It's almost like they're waiting for you. It's been 16 months since it happened, it shouldn't affect your visa extension application.
Be careful moving forwards. If the crimes pile up, they could come back to hunt you at a later date.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
