help needed related to maintenance fund letter

Iam planning to apply for Tier1 in the coming week. My query is related to Maintenance Fund .
1. I have been maintaining 2800 GBP in my Indian Salary Bank Account since June 2008.
2. While applying , my period of consideration for the Fund maintenance is 10/Aug/2008 to 10/Nov/2008.
3. My question here is
a. Since the period i claim is from August , do i still required to provide a source of Fund letter for the Fund maintenance.
b. If i still required to produce a letter, will it be OK if i produce a letter for the amount 2800 GBP which got credited in May 2008.

Please clarify my doubt.
