Legal status between processing and decision.

Hi folks!

Long story short, I'll have to apply for my IRP renewal soon enough (in the summer). I have a course, a job and all that, so if I don't have any legal status to be here, I might lose it all (at least that's what I was told at work).
Question is, if I applied and my application takes more than 30 days (I reside in Dublin so I can apply only 30 days before), what is my legal status? Am I covered by some kind of an amendment?
I did try to ask it by emailing immigrationsupport@justice.ie, but all they did was sending me an auto reply saying "IRP processing time is 8-9 weeks".

No idea about the status in my case, but ISD said:

If your employee’s IRP card has expired and they are unable to obtain a valid registration card by 31 May 2022, they are still legally permitted to remain in the State provided they show proof that they have applied to renew their registration and are waiting for it to be processed. All renewals are
processed online and applicants are issued with a receipt of application and a unique application number (OREG number).
