How Home office calculates Number of days Styed outside UK

If i am taking flight 01-Jun-2022 at 8 PM (night) to move out of UK and return to UK on 10th June 2022 at 8 AM (morning).

How the total number of days stayed outside UK is calculated here

1) Is this including start and end days, in this case total days outside UK is 10 Days

2) Excluding start and end days as on the start day of the journey and also on the return date you were on UK, in this case total days outside UK is 8 Days

3) If you go by Microsoft excel date difference calculation this comes to 9 days

Can group members and respected admins please clarify this to me .Thanks in advance

for UKVI only whole day absences (24 hours) count. You will be absent for 8 days
