SET M - English Language - Asking for additional document

Post by rpmgr » Thu Jun 16, 2022 2:35 am

Hi,

I’ve applied for ILR Set(M) with 'English Language Proficiency Statement' provided by ECCTIS as the requirement to fulfil the knowledge of English.

I've also attached the documents provided by ECCTIS along with other supporting documents.

Below is the part of email, I received from ‘Home Office Atlas’ from the email address ‘home.office.atlas@notifications.service.gov.uk’:
“We need to see a certificate showing you have passed an English language test that has been taken in this country. If you have not done one please arrange to do so and let us know.”

When I click the reply button; it prompts me to this email address ‘atlasnotifications.notmonitored@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk’. I’m not sure, if that’s the right email address.

Please, let me know if I still need to take an English test?
If yes, is there a correct email or post address to send the additional documents?
Also, is there a format to send this document?

Urgently seeking for advice.

Thanks

What other supporting documents relating to the English language requirements did you provide?
… and let us know.”
It’s frustrating when they don’t say on how to let them know?

Supporting documents provided for English language requirements:
1. A copy of my degree certificate
2. an Academic Qualification Level Statement (AQUALS) from Ecctis (formerly UK NARIC) confirming the degree is equivalent to a UK qualification.

Was 2.2(a)(iv)
(2) Ecctis has confirmed that the qualification was taught or researched in English

or 2.2(b)

satisfied, etc?

Re #2.2(b), I’ve mentioned this in my first post. In addition to supporting documents above, Ecctis had provided following document which clearly said they are satisfied the degree meets the requirements for the level of English language requirement. The following document was submitted as well:
- English-speaking country you’ll also need an English Language Proficiency Statement (ELPS) from Ecctis confirming the degree was taught in English.

On top of that, I had paid for document check service on UKVACS, which should have catch this issues.

Thanks

document check is a waste of money in my opinion. They don't know much about how the UK immigration system works. It's just admin. Going through the motions. Tick, tick and tick!
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

Yes, I've replied the email on the above email address. However, I'm still unsure if they will ever look into it. No response till now from them.

I managed to get in phone contact (0300 790 6268) following this link:
https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk

They provided me the following address:
UKVI Family Reunion Team
Admin Team
7th Floor
Capital Building
Liverpool
L39PP

I've responded them with a tracking post in above address. Let's hope, they will reply.

I told them what I've submitted and posted the similar query to this.

However, I've booked for the 'Graded Examination in Spoken English (GESE) Grade 5 (CEFR Level B1.1)' and notified them about it.

I'm planning to go through the test and provide them what they are asking on above address.

Simply provide evidence of what they asked. There is no back and forth communication

Yeah, that's what I've decided. Thank you for the suggestion and your time @Zimba and @vinny.
