I second this.

When we went to get 10yr stamp, the immigration officer at the Garda station asked for my mum’s medical insurance in spite of me giving him my latest payslips and he knew I was employed.

I told him I have been exercising Treaty rights and educated him that medical insurance only applies for sponsors who are self-sufficient and that I was employed and not applicable to me. He didn’t say a word after that.

So point is, yes not every official has a clue

Hi my permanent residence was already approved and I applied for the card online on the March 16 in Dublin but I have not received anything yet does anybody know how long they take in Dublin for online registration process thanks

EUROPA advised me that to apply new permanent residency document under 11 of the withdrawal agreement ,person can obtain this residence documents provided she applies before 30th June 2022.

Hi I have applied for eu 3 in october last year. They have sent me a letter for 6 months extension. However my wife has gone to rehabilitation center in ireland for 12 weeks. So in this Situation she wont be able to present with me at the garda station. Did anyone had similar situation where the eu citizen was not present?

can someone please share list of docs that we can provide for elderly parent applying for citizenship, after getting EUTR3 PR? Our situation is as below:
1) As they have never worked in Ireland before, because they were over the age of retirement when they arrived and have no work history or tax return available here.
2) I have 1 utility bill on their name - but thats only 10 points (they also have broadband but its not on the list, so not sure if they can claim it, in which case its only additional 10 points)
3) They have medical/ PPS and bus travel card - not sure if they can claim any point for this?
4) I can get GP visit records - 25 points only
5) I have bank statement - 50 points
6) Dept of social welfare annual statement - we did not claim any welfare payments, as always thought this would go negatively against our citizenship application. does anyone know if we can claim this, as then we can get additional 50 points?
7) I own house and they live with me, but not sure how to claim points for this? Can I show my own mortgage statements to claim points for these or will I need to write an affidavit or something for them. if we do this, we could claim additional 50points.
Other than above they do not have any other records, and I am finding it difficult to apply for their citizenship. Can someone please clarify above and advise how they have dealt with this and any success stories with list of documents you would have submitted? thank all

I'm in same boat with similar scenario.

I was thinking of doing an affidavit stating that my mother is dependent on me and she lives with us. I'll provide my mortgage statement and tax returns.

Hope that will be sufficient but open to expert suggestions.

I was wondering if we could use documents similar to what we would have provided at the PR application stage?
Dont think they have clarified or suggested list for people who are living here as elderly dependents, who rely fully on their sponsors for all their day to day needs?

Like they have allowed for children, such as their school records can get 100 points and also 50 for their social welfare...which easily completes 150 score for dependant children.

Bank Statement - 50
Utility Bill and Broadband - 20
GP Letter - 25

For rest, planning to give affidavit that she is living with me and I provide accommodation. For this reason, pls consider my mortgage statement as proof of residence.

I've also extracted her social welfare statements. They are blank but guidance doesn't say it can't be NIL so hoping that will give her 50 points as well.

Due to trips out of Ireland my passport pages are nearly full with immigration entry and exit stamps. I will have to apply passport.
My question is that will I need to get stamp from Garda immigration officer on my new passport or not however my irish residence permit article 50 will be expire on 2024. Can anyone confirm it please?

I was advised by an immigration officer at my local Garda station that once we get an updated passport, a new stamp needs to be obtained again on the new passport.

They would stamp till your permit expires in 2024.

6 months before the expiry of your current permit, you would need to apply for EU3 Permit and once approved, you would get an Article 50 TEU card valid for 10 years.

But as no welfare payments received - means no activity evidenced, so they may not consider this.

Rest of the evidence above adds up to 145 points, and only 5 points short of the total required and hope they will consider owing to the fact that they are dependant on their sponsor.
