Sponsor change the company name

Hi All,
I would like to know, what will happen to the company's sponsor license (Tier2) if a company changes its name?
My company told me that you will still be employed/sponsored under the same company's sponsor license because it's just the company name we will change as the company's registration number will remain the same.

They have a plan to change the name next year but I need the CoS now for the extension.

So when it comes to the CoS or the Sponsor Licence, the new name would be adjusted automatically in the Home Office?

Please assist me with this.
