Referee for Childern

Hi All, I am applying for British citizenship for me and the kids, and it is required to have a referee who has known the kids in a professional capacity. I tried to get the teachers of the kids to do referrals but they were concerned to share their personal details (address, phone, and passport numbers), and they showed concern on the use of personal information. I am not sure what to do about this. I saw some said that a normal referee would work, but had anyone gone through this with a normal referee and passed, I am worried the application would be rejected.
