I know that the status changes to verifying documents, but in my case the application number is not even showing in the tracking websiteGoWentGone123 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 9:54 amVery common, not even an issue. Once they review you documents and start verifying them, only then tracker will update to Processing-Verifying documents. It might be sometime today or tomorrow or so.

This would work if you have a PPS card. Considering you go through the FBR route and assumping that you haven't lived in Ireland (thus no PPS card), you'd have to send in the original passport.V3rvangen wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 12:12 pmHi, I just received my foreign birth registration confirmation and am now applying for the passport. I haven't really looked into the process before now, but I seem to remember people saying a verified copy of your birth country passport may be submitted instead of the original passport, is this correct? The application form doesn't make it very clear so just seeking some reassurance that is acceptable.

You could try to chat with them on the web page and be sure. My guess is that a certified copy should be enough. But probably better to ask them.V3rvangen wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 10:51 amThanks for the reply! Could I just ask where that information is from?
On my application form it says the following:
1) Citizenship and identity documents: passport or national ID card. If resident outside of the state, certified copies of ID are accepted.
But then on the citizenship category documents it says:
2) FBR certificate AND original passport from country of birth (if you have one).
It seems from the first category, it will be fine with a certified copy of my passport, but as it doesn't have the same info about certified copies in the second category, I'm just wondering whether the same applies.
When I did it, just kept refreshing the web page every 20 sec or so. Is easier if you do it using a laptop. After probably 6 min it went green. Then after I ingress my info, it said it was fullyomariano05 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 3:43 pmHow is it possible to get into the webchat? It is always gray out that button.....
You’ll have to send in your original document if applying via FBR w/o a PPS card. The first category is sufficient for those born on the island of Ireland, where they have access the birth records.V3rvangen wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 10:51 amThanks for the reply!
