Peculiar situation regarding 1st child passport

Hey all I am in a peculiar situation. My son has got a indian passport, he recently received his Naturalization certificate. Both me and my wife have Indian passports and I have ILR. He had to travel to India urgently, so we are travelling on my Son's Indian passport, as It says we can have 3 months grace period before we surrender Indian passport.
Now my question is
1) do I need to get Right to Abode stamping on my son's passport to get back to UK? How long does it take to get one?
2) Can I apply for British passport for him, from UK while he's abroad? and use the British passport to enter UK? This would mean that we are leaving the country with Indian passport and entering with British passport. Is that allowed. Sorry I am unable to get any answer from home office.

Expect a very lengthy one for your son. You have to wait till he gets to India first, then he sends his passport down to you. HMPO can then see the Indian stamp on his passport showing that he's out of country.It hurts my head even thinking about the mess you could get entangled with.

Apparently you can't send your passport via courier. You need permission from Passport office. I'm planning to apply for his UK passport via 1 week fast track. I will be providing certified copies of current passport. I am hoping they accept it. I have his old expired foreign passport. Let's see fingers crossed.

Apart from that, you can apply from a UK embassy anywhere in the world.

Quick scenario, a Brit travels to Russia and loses their passport there. No links to Russia, but there is a British Embassy there. In this case, the Brit would get an emergency passport (the beige one) issued to come home (provided he/she has a previous UK passport). Passport issued (sorta).

The HO always advises that you get your first passport before you travel out of the UK to avoid stories that touch the heart.

The option is yours, you either apply for a passport or CoERoA. The latter is obviously more expensive, and would get cancelled when you do apply for a British Passport as you can't have both.

Hey everyone I am pleased to inform that I received my son's CoE for ROA today. I am thrilled he can travel back with us to UK next week. I will be applying for British passport subsequently..

Just an info regarding timelines. I gave his biometrics on 29/07/22 from Chennai India.
Passport received by VFS on 18/08/22.

I did involve my MP to write a letter to Home office. Whether that played a part in speeding up the process, I am not entirely sure. I am just happy I received it.

Congratulations. Your son gets to resume school back in a couple of weeks.

Also note that upon applying for a British Passport, his CoE for ROA would be cancelled, as he can't have both.
Passport does all the job you need anyways.
