Referee Details

Post by spectre2021 » Mon Jul 11, 2022 6:11 pm

Hi Experts,

I am applying for my wife and daughter's Naturalisation who are current on ILR and eligible for Naturlisation. I have submitted the application with both Referee's as marked as Friend.

After submitting the application i noticed on the Referee designation as below:

Daughter -- Where the applicant is a child applying, one referee should be a professional who has engaged with the child in a professional capacity, such as a teacher, health visitor, social worker or minister of religion.

Wife -- For an adult application, one referee should be a person of any nationality who has professional standing, e.g. minister of religion, civil servant, or a member of a professional body e.g. accountant or solicitor

Given i have submitted the application and paid the money, its under review at UKVI before i can book a Service appointment. The both referee details currently submitted in the application are written as Friend, though one of them work as a Banker.

Can i add referee details separately for my daughter in addition to the application, would this be accepted ?

Any suggestions please, what should be the best way to handle this situation

Thanks,
Abhi

It's OK, you're overthinking it.

Thanks Ticktack

Can i also attach another referee (accountant) which has not been mentioned in the initial application. Do you think this would be accepted ?

Thanks,
Abhi

They've only asked you for 2 referees. A 3rd would obviously be disregarded. Except they come back to you asking for you to change any of your referees.

Thanks again.

Another question in regards to below please:

To provide "Proof of living in the UK for Mrs XXX for 5 years if applying in your own right or 3 years if applying as the spouse of a British Citizen".

Would my Indian passport showing entry/exist stamps suffice or is it mandatory to show any other bills or documents like P60. I am confused as going through other posts few have advised just passport and other posts have mentioned other documents like Council Bills, P60 etc.

Many Thanks

For those under UK ILR your passport(s) covering the residency period are sufficient.
Those under EU Settled Status ILR need to provide official documents (such as P60s, Council Tax bills, etc) as generally their passports don't get stamped.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.

Re: UKCVAS Message & Submission of documents

Post by spectre2021 » Fri Jul 15, 2022 9:03 am

Thanks alterhase58

I am getting this message when i login to UKVCAS account -- UKVI are currently assessing whether your application can be progressed via the IDV app. Submitted application on 11/07.

I have uploaded all of my documents, however not submitted yet. Should i submit the documents or wait till i receive notification that my application can be progressed via IDV app. Are these 2 steps interlinked or completely independent processes. Please suggest.
