When to expect queries from home office BC application

Post by Rymk » Thu Jul 14, 2022 7:47 pm

Dear Advisor,
Can you pls advise on the below queries ?

Mostly the queries/mistakes in appln form from home office will be within first 4 weeks of application submission date or can it be anytime within 6 months or until the outcome is shared with applicant ?

In case if we don’t receive any response on BC appln for few months , wheather requesting immigration history report tell us the detailed status of the current BC application? If yes how to to request it ?

Will home office directly send the outcome to the nominated council for ceremony without sharing outcome to us , should we keep checking with council frequently if they received any update from home office on my BC appln ?

Is there a contact number to call them and if the appln is approved , Will they inform us ? Because after reading few threads here , there are cases where the outcome is shared after reminder emails being send..

You most likely wouldn't here a peep from the HO for 6 months. If you decide to send a query before the expiration of 6 months, you're just going to get a generic response.

In case if we don’t receive any response on BC appln for few months , wheather requesting immigration history report tell us the detailed status of the current BC application? If yes how to to request it ? You can't request anything for 6 months, and not a day before.

Will home office directly send the outcome to the nominated council for ceremony without sharing outcome to us , should we keep checking with council frequently if they received any update from home office on my BC appln ? You would get a notification letter asking you to contact your local council of choice and book your ceremony.

Is there a contact number to call them and if the appln is approved , Will they inform us ? Because after reading few threads here , there are cases where the outcome is shared after reminder emails being send..
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

Dear advisors,
Thankyou for your response.

I have put my local council for ceremony in this application, can I take the ceremony at any council that has earliest available date , just to avoid any further delays post the approval is received from home office.
Should I inform home office if I’m planning to have ceremony at any other council within Uk where the earliest dates are available?

Not recommended, and it doesn't work like that - if you wish to change council the original council will have to return your certificate to the Home Office and they will start the process again, forwarding details and certificate to the new council. On the face of it this will add extra time, and also the council you choose may be slower after all. Best to wait - appreciate you may wish to travel, the extra wait for a passport is also a big issue.
