9 hours of questioning!!!

Post by sade » Sun May 22, 2005 3:21 pm

Make sure you are sitting while reading this. One guy, student, travelled abroad for holiday and when comming back to UK he was kept 9 hours at the airport to be questiond by immigration officers! There was nothing wrong with him, no criminal record or anything.
They were not extremely nice to him (nicer way to put it).
Isn't this too much? He is so put off by that. He would rather not to be here. It's like some sence of discouragement is put on him by that experience. He doesn't feel like being here.... it's hard to describe it he says.

Who really knows why he was treated in that way? He has a UK student visa? Well IND has tightened up considerably on fraudulent colleges that were used by so many in the past. That might that explain why he was questioned at length?

It is true that i don't know details about his cuicumstances. There are lots of rules about student status but they let him go, so i assumed that he didn't broke the rules? Who knows.
