Entering UK with Naturalisation Certificate

Hi Team,

Can you please help to get advice on the below

I hold Indian Passport and got my naturalisation on June 2022 end.
I need to travel urgently to India.

Indian government allows to travel for 90 days with Indian passport. I can use my indian passport till sep 2022.
I have surrendered the BRP after getting the naturalisation.

Can i use my Naturalisation certificate to enter UK ? Do i need mandatory of British passport ? I haven't applied for British passport yet.

Other than Naturalisation Certification i dont have any documents to live or work in UK.
Since i dont have any BRP / ILR documents to show as immigration.

Please advice me for the travel.

The more fundamental issue is that the airline won't allow you to board the return flight to the UK - with an Indian passport they'd expect a visa or BRP to enter the UK. A nat. certificate isn't normally accepted by airline staff.

A naturalisation certificate would be accepted by UK Border Force as proof of citizenship - a British citizen cannot be refused entry to the UK. However, getting to the UK border is the issue.

Further to alterhase58, not sure why you think you can use a nat. certificate to travel. Same way you can't travel to India with your Indian birth certificate.

Travel documents are exactly what they are.

You will need a certificate of entitlement to Right to Abode. I am in the same situation for my child. I am applying for his Certificate of Entitlement from India. It's expensive , but that's the only quick option. Fingers crossed it comes in time..
