ILR Application for dependant wife

Post by Sap1624 » Sat Jul 16, 2022 10:23 am

Hi Moderators,
Hoping to get some advise on the below.
I am now a British citizen who previously was on Tier 2 (General). Applying for my wife's ILR.
Under Start section
1) Do I have to provide sponsors license number as I now have British citizenship?

Under personal information section :
1) Does the period of stay on which this application was based include any leave granted since 11 January 2018? : I have answered YES as she was granted extension in 2019.
Is this correct?
2) Have you had any absences from the UK during any leave granted since 11 January 2018? I have answered YES and listed all absences from the UK since Jan 2018.
Is this correct or shall I mention all the absences since she has moved to the UK i.e 2015?
3) Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth? I have replied YES as she was born in India, so I have mentioned she has lived in India since her date of birth until 2015 when she moved to the UK. Is this correct?

Under Documents section
4) Does the account with the bank or utility company for which you have supplied information and supporting documentation relate to another person who is to provide you financial support?
On utility bills we have both our names on it but she is not financially dependant on me, what should my answer be YES or NO?

Sorry for a long post but was hoping to get some answers to submit the application.
Thanking you in advance.

1) Yes. Old sponsor number. The fact that you are British is irrelevant
2) Correct but only absences since her 2019 extension need to be declared. Before that, there was no absence limit
3) Correct
4) Answer YES
Advice is given based on my personal research and experience only. Do NOT contact me via private message for immigration advice

Hi Moderators,

Can you please help me with one question

Realised that the my wife's name is not on the utility bill. What are my other option. Can the council tax bill be submitted as that's got both of our names on it.
Part 1 of the consent form is to be signed by my wife.
Please advise on consent form part 2 and part 3? Which ones shall I sign.

Regards
