BPR appointment date

I have a question regarding booking BRP appointment.

My current visa is expiring on 20th August 2022.

Made my ILR application and paid on 31st July 2022(today).

Struggling to get a suitable BRP slot before 20th August.

Therefore, checking to see if I can book one beyond the 20th(expiry of the current visa)?

The most important part is making the ILR application on time. You can do the biometrics when you get a slot. Even after BRP expiration is fine.

As you have submitted application already before expiry of current leave you are covered and if biometrics appointment is subsequently after expiry, not a problem.

Thank you very much for the replies. I managed to get a BRP appointment on 26th of August. So, it's 6 days after the expiry. Hope that will be ok.

As your application is lodged before the expiry date, the protections under section 3C apply. There is no issue at all
