IHS refunded for dependent child-urgent

Hi All,

A peculiar situation
Applied for change of employment, got the new BRP. Dependents did not update the BRP as they have valid leave to remain in their existing BRP.

Main applicant IHS was refunded for the overlapping period.
Along with the main applicant, IHS was refunded also for the dependent child?
My question is why did the dependent child ICH was refunded even though he did not update the visa, What does it mean?
Have a travel booked wonder if the child can travel and come back with existing BRP?
