Passport Renewal - Urgent

Hi Friends,

Can any one please help me with passport renewal query?

I am re-issuing my Indian passport from London as its getting expired very soon. My wife's passport has her pre- marriage name and we use marriage certificate for any visa applications.

While re-newing my passport can I enter my wife's name with my sirname? Renewal form has question about spouse name.

I have never done it so I can not give direct comment. But I can share my thoughts.

You can do it as what matters most is your name on wife's passport because she has to apply dependent. But it may cause minor confusion when both passports are present togather.

I would suggest to fill wife's name as it is present on her passport for now. Later, whenever she applies for name change then you should also apply for self.
