Requesting help with COE/ROA

Post by brekh » Sat Sep 03, 2022 4:01 pm

Hello, all the team members,
I hope everybody is doing well. Once again seeking some help regarding COE/ROA for my few-month-old son born in Pakistan. My wife is currently on a Spouse visa and due to some illness in the family, we are living in Pakistan for the last almost 1.5 years. Now for some personal reason, we have to return back to the UK but the issue is that we don't have a British or Pakistani passport for our son. I and my 2 daughters have got our British passports. I would really appreciate it if someone is willing to help me with the following 2 queries.

1) Can I apply for my Son's COE/ROA without having any passport??

2) In the form there is a section where they are asking for 2 years of his address history, the system won't allow us past that section. what should I do there??

3) How long does it takes to get the COE/ROA outside the UK

Your help here will be highly appreciated and looking forward input from all the helping board members.

Thanks.

1) No.
2) Put "not applicable" in the remaining address field?
3) One member reported 10 days.

Thank u so much Vinny for such a prompt response, I really appreciate your help. I did try the "Not applicable" option but it seems not working as the system is asking for start and end dates (Please see the) image

For some reason, the image doesn't seem to work either

But the system will let me pass the "Previous Address" screen if I put the start date as his birth (MM/YYYY) and the End date as the current date (MM/YYYY).
Should that be ok???

A CoE-RoA is a vignette which is stuck on the blank page of an existing non-British passport. It is not a standalone document. So you require to have a non-British passport to stick it into.

Need your help in making Cert. Of entitlement application

Post by brekh » Fri Sep 16, 2022 8:37 am

1st of all thanks to Vinny and Simon for helping me in information gathering for applying Certificate of Entitlement for my 6-month-old son. Now my son's Pakistani Passport arrived yesterday and have already filled out the online applicatio. Thank God I have finally managed to fill the form in successfully. At this stage, a few more queries needed to be answered would be really grateful if those can also be responded to.

1) In the document evidence section, it only asks for the applicant's Passport only as a Mandatory doc, nowhere it has been mentioned if they also need the Father's passport (Father is a British national). Should I be included my passport with the form??? Are there any other document/s I should include???

2) Does my Son needs the TB test?
3) What is a letter of Consent ?? do I need to write it on a legal official /notary page?

Note: We are making this application from Pakistan

Also the child's birth certificate is mandatory, as that connects the pair of them together.

2) Does my Son needs the TB test? No
3) What is a letter of Consent ?? do I need to write it on a legal official /notary page? Not required

Thank u so much Ticktack for your valuable information.
Relating the TB test, that's what it says at end of the online application form ,

****** ******Tuberculosis test results
You may need to be tested for tuberculosis (TB). If your test shows that you do not have TB, you will be given a certificate that is valid for 6 months from the date of your x-ray. Include this certificate with your UK visa application. Check if you need to get tested.
All children must see a clinician who’ll decide if they need a chest x-ray. Children under 11 will not normally have a chest x-ray.

You must take your child to an approved clinic and complete a health questionnaire. If the clinician decides your child does not have TB they’ll give you a certificate. Include this certificate with your child’s UK visa application**********************

Does anybody want to add anything before I submit my application, anything that I might have forgotten?

Thanks Ticktack once again.

That's for people making immigration applications. Your son isn't. They are only affirming in a little sticker stamp that your Son is free from immigration restrictions and has the Right of Abode in the UK.

Immigration restriction is the keyword here.
