Do you have a color photocopy of your passport to send just in case? I sent mine and it was certified by a lawyer, but just because I happened to have it ready.GoWentGone123 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 5:25 am"All applicants are required to provide documents to validate their identity "
Does this refers to original documents/ photocopies/attested or certified copies?
Also what sort of ID documents can be provided other than passport if you don't have driving license?
unsung-hero wrote: ↑Wed Sep 21, 2022 1:13 amThis week I received what seems to be the so called “approval letter”.
The letter mentions: “the Minister proposes to grant your application, subject to successful completion of the application process”.
It also mentions: “if your application for a Certificate of Naturalisation is the be granted, the next correspondence […] will be an invitation to attend a citizenship ceremony […] currently planned for 5th and 6th December 2022 at the INEC, Killarney”.
And then the letter also requests the payment of €950 within 28 days. The top right corner of the letter contains the person ID number, the application reference number, and the citizenship group number (mine is “CMU1”). These details are required when performing the payment.
For reference, I applied as EU citizen, living in Ireland since early/mid 2015.
Out of curiosity, my whole application contained over 480 pages, colour-coded by year, with sticky notes identifying each type of document or proof of residence. Lots of effort have been put into it, ensuring things could be easily identified.
Surely I sent more documents than what I was originally requested, but everything was easily identifiable.
Here’s my application timeline so far:

I got myself a lever arch file, coloured dividers, punched pockets, coloured sticky notes, coloured paper clips, and highlighters. And I chose one colour for each year.AmiVera2022 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 21, 2022 9:33 amCongratulations! Interesting how quickly you got processed. I used sticky notes but I'd like to color code as well in any of my future applications. How did you color code exactly?

In the lever arch file, I used one coloured divider for each year. Then I added each type of proof of residence in one punched pocket for that given year. There were several punched pockets for each year, with a big sticker in each of them, describing what was inside.
I also used coloured sticky notes and coloured paper clips matching the colour of the divider to better identify and group the proofs of residence.
I used highlighters (matching the colour of each year) to highlight direct debits for the utility bills and standing orders for rent payments.
I also created a table of contents, listing what was submitted for each year. Finally, I also provided a timeline with the addresses I lived, along with details about each employment (I’m a contractor, and I changed jobs every year). Everything was colour coded, using the colour I’ve chosen for each year.
Everything was done in such way that even my grandma could easily go through it without getting overwhelmed.
I just hoped that the agent reviewing my application was not colourblind.![]()
4 years waiting is a long time.
I assume this person's ceremony dates means they got an invite, but the speed here is mad overall.

Well other issue here is why are they processing/approving 2022 applications when there is a huge backlog for 2021 applications? This doesn't make any sense. I don't mean anything personal towards this user btw.meself2 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 5:32 pmI assume this person's ceremony dates means they got an invite, but the speed here is mad overall.

Not the invitation but an approval letter with the proposed ceremony date. And I agree, they are working in full swing and getting as much as applications completed for the December ceremony.meself2 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 5:32 pmI assume this person's ceremony dates means they got an invite, but the speed here is mad overall.

Have you sent your application in March 2022 or do you mean 2021 and this is just a typo? Asking because I haven't seen anyone else even receiving E-Vetting invitation so far.youngmoon wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 6:06 pmNot the invitation but an approval letter with the proposed ceremony date. According to his post here he made no typo: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=324689&p=2086117#p2086117
Yes, I have seen that post that's why I was asking here. I would understand procedural change might make a difference for 2022 applications. On the other hand, I couldn't see anyone else receiving E-Vetting even the ones applied in January so it seems to me quite a bit exceptional if it is not typo.mentalmind wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 8:37 pmAccording to his post here he made no typo: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=324689&p=2086117#p2086117
In theory - yes; in practice, don't think there is any system in place to disclose eVetting specifically, you'd have to go FOI route, if they grant it to you.Matakoo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 02, 2022 3:27 pmMy E Vetting was done 2 weeks ago. From the letter to disclosure it took 2 weeks in total.
Are we entitled to receive a copy of the disclosure if we ask for it? Has anyone done that and how is it done please? It's useful to for a volunteer job that I have as they need Vetting.
Thanks for the prompt reply. I was trying to see if there's a way other than FOI which is obviously time consuming for both sides.meself2 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 02, 2022 4:03 pmIn theory - yes; in practice, don't think there is any system in place to disclose eVetting specifically, you'd have to go FOI route, if they grant it to you.Matakoo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 02, 2022 3:27 pmMy E Vetting was done 2 weeks ago.
