Renting from family member Flr (m) application

Post by Nate2084 » Thu Sep 29, 2022 11:28 pm

Hi there,

Have submitted the Flr m application. My question relates to accommodation evidence.

We just moved into a place my grandmother owns in august. We pay her rent for it of £800 per month. There's evidence of it coming out of my bank statement in September and I am submitting a signed rent contract and a letter from her as landlord stating it's just us living there and that I'm her grandson.

I'm also submitting a copy of the title deed to prove she owns the house. Is there anything else anyone recommends adding in terms of documents here?

It's too late to do the housing check or whatever it is called where a private company takes measurements of the rooms etc as we submit bios in 3 days, but if anyone has any further advice on this, or reassurance that a rent contract, letter, and title deed will be sufficient, that would be good. In a normal private rent situation I know this would be plenty, just not sure in this case.

She has no mortgage on the house as it's fully paid up, but I suppose I could submit a title deed for the house she's lived in for the last 50 years.

Thanks for your time.

With the above stated documents would presume you shouldn't have a problem as it's as formal as could be.
