Pregnant during visa application to Ireland

Post by DublinBoy2022 » Mon Aug 08, 2022 2:52 pm

Hi All,

We got married at the start of the year and my wife got pregnant during the application. We applied for join spouse visa (D), however my question is do we have to inform of the change of circumstances or do they not care ? I am Irish, she is non EU, currently I work remotely in her country of origin so we do not care that much about time, but would this speed up the process or slow it down?

Anyone experience the same ?

Thanks,

The process time is six months. So if she is allowed to travel after that, i don't think it's a problem. As far as I know, within certain weeks of pregnancy, you are still allowed to travel. BUT if the child is born within that period, then you will have to process separately for the child and the mother needs to present when the child is planning to travel to Ireland.
