ILR Skilled Worker Route Employer Letter

Post by simple_man » Mon Sep 12, 2022 1:27 pm

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for my ILR after spending 4yrs 11months and 10days working with Tier2/Skilled worker visa, and would be very grateful if someone can provide me with a recent example template of the employer letter indicating I will be required for the foreseeable future and all of my absences were approved.

This is to show to my line manager so he has an idea the type of letter to draft for me for my application.

Many thanks.

Thanks for your very quick response Zimba.

I am a bit confused with the sort of wording that would be acceptable by the Home Office on the letter as I am on a fixed term contract which is usually renewed (every 6 months or so) depending on the current project I am working on. Please, do you know of, or have you advised someone in the past in a similar situation as mine that went on to make a successful application? Many thanks.

As long as your employer says that they need you for the foreseeable future. Many got their ILR while bringing on fixed-term contracts

Sorry to bother again Zimba, but would a draft like this be suitable in your opinion?

To Whom it may concern,

I can confirm that "my full name here" has been employed with “Company name here" since 20th August 2017 as a “Job title Here” on a fixed term contract with the most recent one ending 31 Oct 2022 at a rate of “Salary here” per annum. He is needed in this role for the foreseeable future and will be paid accordingly.
All his absences were authorised.

Yours sincerely

Many thanks.

Thank you Zimba.

Just to confirm the important documents I would require are,

1) Evidence of Life in UK passed.
2) One month pay slip.
3) One month bank statement (showing salary paid in).
4) Letter from employer confirming employment, salary at appropriate SOC rate and approval of absences.
5) All passport for 5 years
6) UK PhD certificate as proof of English
7) Evidence of accommodation???

Not sure about number 7 how far back might I be required to show? Or if I am missing something out.

Many thanks.

Hello, although I received a letter from work but I am now in the process of applying using the 10 year route.
Cane into the UK 9 Nov 2012 and planning to send the application today (within the 28 day window) but I have a few questions if any user can help.

1) Since I am applying before 9th Nov 2022, should I put 9 years 11 months in the how long have you lived in the UK question?

2) In the document section, it reads "From the list of documents below, provide as many as you can. Tick each document to confirm that you have read the requirement, even if you cannot send it. If you are unsure about any of the evidence, read the guidance relevant to your application". Should I just tick and provide the mandatory ones i.e Degree certificate (proof of English), Passport, All previous passports and current BRP? I think those are the mandatory ones or do I tick all and provide the mandatory ones?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

1. It does not matter what you write. Your eligibility is based on your residence time not answers on the form
2. It does not matter what you tick. You provide the mandatory documents which are only needed
