Speed ticket

Post by chungyanho » Thu Oct 27, 2022 1:33 pm

Hi guys, I have already applied and submitted my application last month.
I had a speed awareness course in March and in the application, it said I only need to declare it if I receive 3 or more fixed penalty notices. I have just received another speed ticket today. But the total number is still under 3, do I have to send an email to the home office?
Any advice would be great :)

in the guidance, it is strictly mentioned that you should disclose all FPN/PCN but will normally not be taken into account unless it hasn't been paid or it happened multiple times in a short period of time. you should've disclosed the first one at least.

Fixed penalty notices for traffic offences such as speeding or parking tickets must also
be disclosed, although will not normally be taken into account unless you have failed to
pay and there were criminal proceedings as a result, or you have received multiple fixed
penalty notices in a short space of time.

Thanks for the reply. I tried to go to the application online page again but it said the same thing. I guess it would be safe if I email them and tell them about my ticket. But it is a grey area I guess :(

It is a grey area so rather than withhold declare and explain circumstances
If in doubt say it out
