Entry clearence refused - Dependant - Chennai

Post by Tier1Dependant_chennai » Sat Nov 22, 2008 10:33 pm

Hi there,

My entry clearance was refused with the below reason

"In view of fact that you have only submitted photocopies of your sponsors bank statement I am not satisfied that you have provided the documents specified to show that you are in possession of the required level of funds, as detailed in Appendix E of the Immigration rules

I therefore refuse your application under paragraph 319C(g) of the Immigration rules"

During my visit to VFS centre at Chennai, I had submitted original & photo copy of the bank statements. But, VFS officer who is received my application confirmed that the photo copy of the statement is sufficient and returned the original bank statement to me.

I have been provided with the AIT2 form along with the refusal letter.

I am going to send my AIT2 form to BHC, chennai.

What should be mention in the Grounds of your Appeal?

Is there any way I can get the fair treatment since I have been misguided by VFS?

Please advise. Thanks

See also Full or Incomplete Right of appeal.

Apply for an Administrative Review within 28 days from the date you receive the refusal notice. State what had happened:

Thanks for the response Vinny.

1. I have been told by BHC that Administrative review is not possible for the dependant visas.

2. I have got the full right to appeal. Is it possbile that ECO overturn the original decision and issue the visa without hearing?

Thanks

Do appeal. Also explain the circumstances to the BHC. It should be a simple matter for the Entry Clearance Officer/Manager (ECO/ECM) to reconsider and overturn the refusal decision when the original documents are produced.
