Application advice

Post by Mo1985 » Wed Nov 16, 2022 10:21 pm

Dear respected admins,
Apologies if this been asked before.
I am looking for advice please.
I have ILR via 5 years skilled worker visa, I will complete 12 Months from ILR decision on 30/11/2022.
My 2 kids ( age 10,8) and wife will complete 12 months on ILR in 1/2/2022.
Have a few questions please:
1. I am planning to apply in 30/11/2022, and then apply for the family in 1/2/2022 is that ok in terms of rules as I might not have the decision by the time I apply for the family?
2. Can I apply for the kids with myself although they didn’t complete 12 months?
3. What evidence for living in the uk should I supply for A. Myself B. Kids C. My wife? is passport and P60 enough?
4. Wife did working intermittently. Should I supply the p60 for the time she worked and passport for the rest? Or do I need any other evidence?
5.for English language requirements: I did have ILETS when I applied for first visa in 2016 can I use that again?
Thanks a lot in advance

Unlikely you will be British by that date 1/2/23(?) - but wife can apply under five years residency route. Children could be registered even before then as both parents hold ILR.
2. Can I apply for the kids with myself although they didn’t complete 12 months? Yes - children don't have a 12 months wait period.
3. What evidence for living in the uk should I supply for A. Myself B. Kids C. My wife? is passport and P60 enough? Just passports covering the residency period,no P60s or similar.
4. Wife did working intermittently. Should I supply the p60 for the time she worked and passport for the rest? Or do I need any other evidence? Employment proof is not required - passport(s) for the residency period is sufficient.
5.for English language requirements: I did have ILETS when I applied for first visa in 2016 can I use that again? Yes.

Note that applications are individual, your wife and children are the applicants ....

Of course, so they can apply with father.

:D Just trying to make sure that OP gets it crystal clear, and not try to register the kids alone.

Thanks a lot guys very helpful :D

Yes I did mean 2023 :D

Actually Both kids were born outside UK. From what you guys kindly said that I can safely apply along with the kids in 30/11/2022 even though they won’t be 12 months? Because this will much more convenient to do.

Is passport only enough as evidence of living for kids?

And pardon my ignorance, what did you guys mean by (Note that applications are individual, your wife and children are the applicants .....)?
Thanks a lot
Much appreciated

Kids can apply along with you. The application will tell you what is required for documents but for residency it’s the passports only. Note again there’s no 12 months wait period for children.

There are no family or group applications, every applicant is assessed individually. There’s also no dependancy concept in naturalisation. Hope that makes sense.

Absolutely makes all sense
Just thought this because the application allows you to add other applications at the same time and that they can apply with father.
But it makes sense now
Will apply with kids as you mentioned.
Thanks a lot again
Very helpful
