Why not wait to knock off the extra 17 days off, so that you can sleep easy? "May be disregarded" doesn't mean it will be disregarded. It just feels like a gamble to me.erjeque wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 1:52 pmHi all,
I am applying to citizenship after getting married (I have ILR) and I have a total of 287 days of absence in the last 3 years.
Most of it happened when I was stuck in Turkey during covid (borders were closed) and I even managed to get ILR whilst my absence in the last 12 months was over 180 days (a total of 220 days).
I check the guide line and they mention the absences like this:
Total number of absences normally disregarded. ==>> 300
If I am below this threshold, do you think it would still be necessary to include any explanation for my ebsences?
Thanks a lot for your help!
How many absences do you have in the last 12 months? if you have way more than 90, you will have to wait to apply until they are below threshold. They are unlikely to disregard both absences if they are higher than 270 days and 90 days.erjeque wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 1:52 pmHi all,
