Family reunion visa by critical skill permit holder

Post by NoahZzz » Tue Dec 13, 2022 5:36 pm

Dear all,

I am a critical skill permti holder. I got my permit in November. I just got my first stamp 1 visa on using this permit.

My wife and kid are hoping to join me here asap. My friends told me that I need to prepare an accomodation for my family that includes at least two bedrooms before apply for their visas. My question is that is this renting condition necessary? But my problem is that my salary is quite low, only around 33k. So to rent a 2-bed house or apartment, it would be a bit difficult for me. But if my wife can be here, she can work to share the rent. This is such a dilema. Anyone has similar experience to share?

Many thanks,

Noah.

There is no such thing. It’s not in INIS’s requirement (although INIS may ask for documentary proof that you have the means to look after everyone - your wife is considered a dependent, so her potential income will not be considered).

Although one bedroom for both parents and children does sound a bit less than ideal, it is your family matter. TUSLA may decide to inspect whether you have a proper environment to raise your children here, if referred by other agencies with valid concerns, but it rarely happens.

Just saw your reply.

Thank you very much. That is such a relief.
