Use expired foreign passport to apply for British passport

Hi,
I have applied recently to citizenship and waiting for decision.
My foreign passport will be expired in few months and I am wondering if I will be able to use it (when expired) to apply for British passport following the naturalisation.

Yes - there’s no requirement to have a valid prior passport, either foreign or British.
