Visiting uk for 5 months

Post by shantykumar » Wed Mar 01, 2023 6:01 pm

Hello, I have travelled to the uk once last year for a month to visit my child now i want to visit and stay in the uk for 4-5 months this summer, how should I apply as visitor visa ? Should I tell them I want to visit for 4-5 months or tell them I want to visit for 1 month and stay for 4-5 months ? Will this cause problems in future?

It is still a visitor visa you need to apply for - as you did last year.
Tell them what you are planning, you had a visa already and presumably you stated then visit was for a month, and you left accordingly.
You already have a visa history so hopefully there won't be an issue. Best to stick to the duration you will declare, if intending 4-5 months say so.
Not an expert on visitor visas but it's best to be consistent.
