British Citizenship - Married but undergoing divorce

Post by Tbaba83 » Sun Mar 05, 2023 8:19 pm

I am about to apply for british citizenship. I am currently going through a divorce. We filed the divorce papers last month.

As i was filing the british citizenship AM Form, it asks for my wives details. Do i put her name there?

Also the application asks for my wifes passport but she refuses to give this to me. Can i still apply without it successfully?

Will i be able to apply under the 5 year route even though i am still technically married?

You can apply as an individual under the five year route. You will still be asked whether you are married etc. But you are not obligated to provide wife’s documents.
