Working while HSMP is being Processed - PLEASE HELP

Hi,

I am currently on a work permit through a company but have been made redundant. I am in the process of applying for my Tier 1 which will be lodged in mid jan. I understand that it take 6-8 weeks to process. My questions are :

1 - If i find employment while my appl is being lodged what is my current visa status that i tell the new company?

2 - Am i able to work while my HSMP application is being processed?

first question is will the current company curtail your leave e.g. inform the BIA about the situation? This will impact on your ability to stay further. If it is a yes then that will max 28days stay here.
