Sorry my bad, I meant I submitted my application online normally but when I called them to check as the 10 weeks have passed they told the application has been moved to be handled like paper application (I understood like I made it as a paper application using the post office) but no reason was declared and just ask me to wait for further updates, I have searched a lot but I couldn't find this situation before.alterhase58 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 3:07 pmCan you just clarify: your application was moved to paper? Or all? What was the reason?

When I read the passport offices policy guidances, I came across this scenario. They refer to digital application as DAP and paper applications as AMS. According to them, sometimes DAP applications are transferred to AMS cause examiner wants to see physical supporting documents or when some documents cannot be scanned onto DAP.
Is it your first British passport?Tito1985 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 10:01 pmThanks for your explanation, I'm really very stressed specially that the 10 weeks have passed I don't know what I can do as when I asked they told I just want to wait.Newbritish wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 8:13 pmTito1985 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 3:20 pmSorry my bad, I meant I submitted my application online normally but when I called them to check as the 10 weeks have passed they told the application has been moved to be handled like paper application (I understood like I made it as a paper application using the post office) but no reason was declared and just ask me to wait for further updates, I have searched a lot but I couldn't find this situation before.alterhase58 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 3:07 pmCan you just clarify: your application was moved to paper? Thanks for your advice, it's the first British Passport after naturalisation. I made a formal complaint so I believe I'll ask for a call back from manager or line manager to see the progress.Newbritish wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 11:12 pmIs it your first British passport?Tito1985 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 10:01 pmThanks for your explanation, I'm really very stressed specially that the 10 weeks have passed I don't know what I can do as when I asked they told I just want to wait.Newbritish wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 8:13 pmTito1985 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 3:20 pmSorry my bad, I meant I submitted my application online normally but when I called them to check as the 10 weeks have passed they told the application has been moved to be handled like paper application (I understood like I made it as a paper application using the post office) but no reason was declared and just ask me to wait for further updates, I have searched a lot but I couldn't find this situation before.alterhase58 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 3:07 pmCan you just clarify: your application was moved to paper? Have you complained? You need to ask them specific questions.
E.g is my application with an examiner? Or is it still in a queue?
E.g is my application on hold? And why?
E.g can you please add a case note for line/case manager to give me a call back within 48 hours.( this one will be most beneficial)
E.g can you also request examiner to explain why my application has been transferred?
E.g as 10 weeks have been past, please expedite my application asap.
If you make a formal complaint, request a call back from manager, line managers usually sort issues out quickly.
Good luck!
