Naturalisation and tenancy deposit scheme

Post by Souro » Wed Mar 22, 2023 1:14 pm

Hi, I am in process of my naturalisation application and having a deposit dispute with my landlord where I was renting. I have moved out and the landlord is claiming unjustified amount as damages claim. We could not agree and hence the dispute has now gone to Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) for alternate dispute resolution.

We have agreed to abide by the outcome of the TDS and not go through court.

Can you please let me know if I have to declare this in my naturalisation application.

This is a civil dispute, doesn't need to be declared, even if it went to court (not a criminal matter).
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
